Default Which Drag Radials last a while on the Street?

I'm currently using nitto drag radials, and they are ok. I'm looking for something better. I'm also looking for a drag radial that has a good treadlife expectancy.

Out of the major drag radials out there (BFG, Nitto, M/T, M&H, etc.) which drag radials will last the longest for street use?

I was looking at the M&H street drag radial because they have a thicker sidewall (275/50/17). Not sure how long they last on the street though.

Thanks for your post!

Thats incredible they lasted that long. I am on my 2nd set of Nittos & I usually get about 8k out of them. I doubt the MT radials are as good as the Nittos in the rain. I need to find something that hooks real good. Whats your best 60 time with the MTs?

I heard the nitto nt555r will last longest out of all drag radials (10k miles and up) that does not apply to the nt05r drag radial though. The nt05r last much less but hook much better keep that in mind. The nt555r is what I have and they have exceptional wet traction, I doubt I would feel as comfortable if I had nt05r though.

You need to decide if you want your car to hook up or do you want a long lasting tire, because you will NOT get both. I put 10k miles on my et streets with around 100 races on them, and I bought them used. Keep in mind I didn't do a big smokey burnout everytime I raced.

the nitto 555r's will last the longest.
my car is not a dd but i have put about 7-8k on them and there is still about 70% left on them but it does matter how much you get on it,burn outs and etc.

those nice black stripes dont fall from the sky! lol.

thanks for the responses. It looks like the best solution is to just keep a set of smaller wheels with the larger drag radials on them for when I need traction on the street or at the track. Otherwise, keep my daily driver wheels with daily driver street tires...

Hmm.

So does anyone know if the M&H tires (street drag radials) last as long as the M/T street drag radials?
