Tire experts help please...
Im concidering mounting on the rear a set of 305/35/18 Toyo R888's.(18x10.5)
I have 275/35/18s Toyo T1Rs on the front.(18x9.5)
What risks would that envolve?
Should I try to keep all the same tires all around?
Any information is good information...
Thanks!

Hi Glenn, and there is no risk doing that, just means you can't rotate them. Guys runs 315's out back and 275's up front all the time. Only thing might be rolling the fender lip and some banging inside the rear fender depending on the offset and if it's lowered or now

Well the tire seller was telling me that the performance wouldn't be as good if u don't use the r888s all around. I run staggered now with 275s an 295s I've got t1r's but the r888s are alot softer an wont give optimal traction til they get a lil heat on em. I want to know wat the risk would be just running the r888s on the back with the t1r's on the front. And why didn't u just send me a txt ding bat!

lol, because this way anyone else with your question can see it too. The R888 is a competition radial, and the reason the guy says you might not get the same performance with just 2 is because since they are for like autocrossing etc you'd want them on all 4 corners to give you the most grip, but just running them in the rear won't hurt anything. It'd be like just running drag radials out back. Here's a nice review on them from a Cobra owner who just ran them on the rear:
