335/30/18 on these wheels in the back... will it fit?
I'm wondering if these wheels in the back (18x10.5)

will these fit a 335/30/18 tire? Will they rub? Will I have to beat the wheel well out (BFH mod)? If so, does it take a LOT of beating?
any info/ideas are appreciated! I've got 305/35/17's on there now and they dont rub.
edit: oh this is on a 94 Firebird Formula on stock rear ride height.

got a pic of what your BFH'ing looks like? I suspected I'd have to do something like that, just trying to figure if it's worth it... if the extra 30mm actually helps with traction that much.

I have been looking lately and come up with quite a few cars on here running a 335/30/18. I don't know about how much you will have to beat it in, but I will say that is my new tire size when I get my rear setup, then a 285/30/18 on the front. It should look pretty beefy when I'm done.
Check out this link for some pics and tire size specs, lots of pages too

All these people running that tire on this site are running the Nitto 335's...which arent a true 335. More like a 315. Nitto DRs run narrow compared to other brands. So they should fit fine. If you are looking at other brands there are a couple people running 335/35/17 Hoosiers... so true 335s will fit although Im sure it took a little work.

To fit a 335/30/18 its going to take a little BFHing to the inner wheel wells I'm sure and you will probably need to roll your fender lips. And adjustable PHB is deffinately required to, or a watts link
I'm planning on running 285/35s up front and 335/30/18s out back when I can find some rims to fit my junk, but narrowing my rear axle has turned into a nightmare and wheels are probably going to cost me my first born son haha only kidding. Check out the link I posted above, there are quite a few guys running the 335s and they look amazing on these cars IMO

A 335 should not go on a 10.5" wheel....regardless of the brand. A 315 is the largest you should run on that tire. It's no different then running a 315 on a 9.5" wheel; it's not safe.
