i need some help finding tires for my 02 z28. ive looked all over and it seems my tires are too wide. i dont know what rims i have but they are after market and came with the car. they are 17inch rims and the current tire size is 275/40 17. ive called local shops and all they can say is get a dunlop wintersport 3d 255/45 17 and stretch it

You should be able to find a cheap set of 16's from anything 93-up. I run 16" camaro wheels in the winter and I was able to find a set of near new snow tires mounted up for $125.

Unless you upgraded the brakes 16's will fit and be a good bit cheaper.

I run 225/55 R16 but 235/55 R16 would fit just as well. The narrower the better in the snow. The tires I have are Dunlop Winter Sport M3.
