Default 2 part question concerning 0E 18x10.5 c6 z06

Ok so I am now the proud owner of black w/red pin stripe c6 z06 wheels for my 2002 camaro z28. The fronts are 17x9.5 and rears are 18x10.5. I looked up the tire sizes for them and found the fronts to be 265/40/17 and rears to be 295/35/18. the front wheels seemed to fit perfectly, however, I put the rears on to find very little room between the wheel and wheelwell/and the frame. I thought they would be ok to order bc tons of people have 17x11s zr1 rims (perhaps with a little help from BFH mod).

My first question:

Will these(rears) end up rubbing against anything when I go to put tires on. if someone with this wheel/tire combo in the backs has them I would greatly appreciate their feedback, as well as anyone else who knows about 18x10.5s. I really do not want to send them back bc they will look beautiful with my white z28.

My second question:

Is there a good tire i can get that wont break the bank. I would love mich ps2 or goodyear eagle f1s but they are 300-400 a tire. Im not trying to spend 1000-1500 on tires alone! I want the car to hook well and handle in corners well bc this is a street car for stoplights and backroads any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

i got the same wheel and size. i put the 295/35/18 tire on mine and they fit great. i had to BFH a little bit to keep the tire from rubbing. i got the firestone firehawk tires off ebay for 400 bucks for the pair. i also put a 275 tire on the fronts. i got 700 in rims and 700 in tires.

^^ It will all depend on the type of tire and the section width of it. Firehawks are great tires fwiw. But for example, a nitto tire runs more narrow that other tires in the same size. A nitto 295 looks more like a 275 or 285. Some people can even get away with a nitto 315 with no BFH whatsoever..
