Default 17x12s

I've seen that Trust ran them on his TA without narrowing the rear or mini tub. Just curious if anyone else has. I am not against the BFH and some grinding. Maybe could get some input in backspacing and such.

I would think you would have to do a hefty job with the BFH mod but they are 12's though but as for the back spacing, I am an idiot when it comes to all that stuff and I will admit it, lol.

Why would you need a 12" rim? Are you wanting to run 335/35/17 tires? I have the hoosier 315/35's and they rub just a little bit so with the 335 you would need a spacer or just bend the inner fender in slightly at the point it rubs. If you space it out the other way and it hangs out of the fender it doesnt really look all that good.

I want to run a 345.

Any suggestions or comments? I see a lot of views but no posts.

I believe there was a guy running 17x12 ZR1s with a Grand Sport offset (36mm) with 335 Kumhos, a lot of BFH and fender rolling. Ive seen the 19x12 C6 ZO6 wheels work as well.

I'll give you a bit of feedback.

Regarding builds, let’s say you had us build you a set of our Bogart wheels, normally, with an 11" wheel, the lip of the wheel is very close to the bumpstop. Add 1" to the wheel, and it has to go somewhere, I would not advise placing it on the outside of the wheel as it will make the wheel stick out too much and look odd. This leaves placing it on the inside or splitting the difference placing .5 on each side which will leave the wheel/tire sit in the same spot but using the larger tire will leave better results with placing the 1" on the inside.

Placing 1" on the inside will create issues as you will need to remove the bumpstop and do quite a bit of tweaking to the inner fender area. Removing the bumpstop is not a big deal as you can relocate one elsewhere.

Hope this helps,

SJMMFGINC hit this on the head, there is only so much room under the car befor the tire is going to hit the wheel well or be hangin out like joe dirt. If u want to play ya got to pay and its going to need to be tubed. I cut all the bump stop area out and a LOT of bfh to try and fit 345toyo dr on 17x11 wheels. even with a spacer that hung the tire way to far out and they still hit on the inside. I will be mini tubeing the car soon. Narrowing the rear has nothing to do with this.

Please dont flame but what does BFH mean? I am guessing that it has to do with some kind of body modification to make wheels work. I also want to run some 12" wide I was thinking off setting them with 15x9 in the front and 17x12 in the rear with a 355 if I can. I love the way a real wide tire looks from behind.

short for big f'n hammer. It would be better to mini-tub the car at that point using that size tire. This way you can tuck the wheels in better for a more appropriate natural look.

What is the average price to do a mini tub? How wide can you got with a wheel if mini tubed?

So I am guessing that a 12" is the widest you can go with the BFH mod?

I just put 19*12 on my 4th Gen camaro and it was alot of work. I had to do alot of bfh and remove bumpstops. I also have tubular lca and adjustable panhard bar. It took alot of work but they fit

Damn those do look nice! All that is needed is a larger rotor in the back to fill in that rim. A dual brake caliper in the rear would set it off to.
