Default TT2 Centercap removal problems

I am having a major pain in the dick removing the center caps. I used a 2.5mm and was able to remove all the bolts off of two wheels (minus the 2 I stripped) and then went to the front wheels and its just a slight **** hair too big to even fit in them. Any ideas? I tried different wrenches but nothing comes close

thanks for the help!

maybe take a hammer and tap it in there and after you get them out get some new bolts, they are cheap and include a new allen wrench to fit.

Well I got em out, its weird, for my 315 wide wheels they were metric, for my 275 wide's they were standard, makes no sense.

Either way had to drill out two heads of the screws to get em off.

Any idea how to get the threaded part out without messing up the threads of the wheel?

Alright guys any advice on what to do if I bought. Some replacement Phillip head screws and those just slide right in.lol When I bought my tt2 2nd hand. I didn't realize that the screws for the centercaps were all stripped. And the ones that were missing, seems like the original owner probably already tried to drill the screw out and stripped the hole. Which is what i'm guessing. Any help as to what would be the next step? Would be appreciated thanks.

hope you have tap and die skills. If not I'd get some help fron a friend. You need to select a new machine screw size that's slightly larger. Drill all holes with the appropriate bit and tap the holes. Might as well do them all so all screws match. Buy stainless phillips machine scews the a conical seat. Antisieze when your done.

Next time it happens, use a reverse drill bit. Works like a charm.

Dam!! That reallly sucks. By chance would this task be something along the lines of what a welder might take on? Because, yes I don't have skills, or the tools for that matter.lol
