Default 99 WS6 wheels on 96 Formula, why won't they fit?

So I am in the process of putting my 96 WS6 back to stock to sell it. I have been trying to get it as close to stock with good parts. Well I know the 96 came with Silver WS6 wheels but I like the polished ones better.

I bought some 99 WS6 wheels off a guy a while back and was just going to get to putting them on this afternoon. Well dumbass me forgot that the 96's had a bigger hub in the back so the 99 wheels will not fit on the rear flush.

Is there any way to fix this problem without having to find another set of wheels?

Besides making the bore bigger I would sell them or trade for another set, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Great, not what I wanted to do. I think a small spacer would solve the problem but I really don't like the fact of running a spacer on the REAR wheels.

OP its an easy fix man. I had a set of 02 ws6 wheels on my 95 formula...all you have to do is get a die grinder and open up the inside of the hub of the wheel a little bit. It seriously takes all of 5 mins to do..once you do that they will fit just fine.

I've done it with a cheap metal hand file. Took only a couple minutes per wheel.

Also it's not the entire bore that needs to be filed down. It a very small lip on the end.

I was looking at them more last night and saw that it was only that little lip. If it only takes a few minutes a wheel with a die grinder I am going to go to town on those things!

It works perfect. I had some C5 wheels on my 94 B4C and I had to open up the inside diamete just a little to get them over the axles.
