Default 315/35R17 street/autox tire recommendations?

I'm getting a set of AFS 36mm offset ZR1 for CHEAP from a friend, I am going to reuse my 4 275/40R17's Falken Azeni RT-615's for the front 9.5" wheels until they are used up, but I need some decent 315/35R17's for the rear. I know there isn't really a lot available as far as street tires for that size anymore, what are you guys using/recommend? I'd like them to last about a year, as it is mostly a street car, but is only a nice weather, hard driven and autox about 7 times a year or so car with estimated 400 rwhp.

right now i have the gs3. very good tire and sticky. but my next tire will be the r888, way softer compound. i highly doubt the r888 will last you longer than 6 months but they are a nice set

I think I may be leaning towards the Kumho XS. Anyone used these yet?

Just don't buy sumitomos, they're more likely to bite an apple than the ground.

Yeah the Sumitomo's are out. One reason that I am getting these wider wheels is for MORE grip, not less, lol. I have heard the NT05's don't last very long since they start with less tread depth, and while not as bad as the 555's, still run narrower than other 315's?

Look on Nitto's website:

555=12.6 width
555R=12.1 width
NT05=12.4 width

i just picked up a set of r888s. 275/40/17 and 315/35/17 going onto my TTMs. I got them for my 500RWHP car. I did not want to run spongy sidewall drag radials on the street again...I will let you know how they work out!

31.5/25.4 = 12.40157

A tire at 12.4 inches would be a mathematically true 315.
