Roll Fenders? How do you know?
Hey, I was wondering how you know if you need to roll the fender or if it will be fine?
I am running C5 DD 18x10.5 with a 305/35r18 555rII on it. I am using a 0.5 inch spacer. I have Bilsteins and Strano springs.
I have taken it around the neighborhood and sawed on the steering wheel a little and it seems fine. The tires are kinda flush with the outer lip... Do I need to roll the fender? Am I at risk of the wheel contacting the outer lip and messing stuff up?
Thanks,
Aaron

usually you will hear the tires rub. also look at your wheels to make sure there are no cuts/lines on them from the fender. if you have those symptoms then u need to roll your fenders. or you can roll them just to be safe.

Get a fender roller and heat gun from 69ta. Use the heat gun to get the metal hot enough to roll easily. Not an exact science, more of a feel, take your time increasing the pressure (angle of the roller) a little bit over long even strokes. Do it too fast and you'll crack paint and wrinkle the fender. Don't flatten the lip completely, just enough to get clearance for the wheel.
