Default Wheel/tire idea, will it fit?

Thanks to anyone who helps. I am currently not happy with the wheel tire set up I have now. I have to small of a sidewall in the rear for the amount of power I will be making. I am thinking about running c6 wheels 17x8.5 for the front and rear. 56mm offset.

http://www.tulipcitywheels.com/corve...ack-2008.shtml

For the rear tires I would like to run the hoosier 28x10x17 slick. The recommended wheel width is 8-10".
For the front tires I want to go with a 225/45r17. I have a manual rack, and I dont want those bulky 275's up front.

The car is lowered 2" all the way around.

So I guess my question is how well will that rear wheel/tire combo fit. Will it be tucked in quite a bit more. Will I be able the drop the car 3" instead of 2". Or will it all together be close to the same. I figure with the 8.5 wheel mounting a 10" tire should be not as wide as a 315 on a 10.5" wheel which is what I have now. Also how well should I expect to hook going from a very wide street radial to a slick? Any pictures, or somone with experience with a relative tire/wheel setup would be greatly appreciated.

The fronts I am not worried about one bit.
If it helps the car has full front and rear tubular suspension. Should be putting down about 570rwhp. 3500lbs with driver. The combined total of all of this is roughly 1300$ before shipping, so I want to make sure I do this right the first time.

Fronts will fit, rears are sketchy, and rims will be much further in the fender than your 10.5s. Lowering to 3" will more than likely not work for the rears with the tire setup you are thinking of. 2" drop is already pushing it with 27" tire. And, YES you will hook much better with a slick once heated up. Drag radials make a significant difference over wide street tires so slicks will hook much more than wide street tires.

When at the track I use a 26.5x11x16 Drag radial and my car is lowered 1.75". its already pretty close to the fender well.

I can always change the amount it's easier or lowered that's not so much my worry. How far tucked in to the fender are we talking, enough to make it look strange. Or should it still be relatively close the fender.

I'm sorry I meant to say raised or lowered, I can't edit on my phone.

Ok after doing some research scratch the previous setup. I have found something new that I am interested in. 15x10 weld star rt 7.5 bs.

http://weldracing.com/street-perform...weld-star.html

I want to mount a m&h drag radial 325/50r15 section width is 12.4.

http://www.mandhtires.com/store.php?...on=show_detail

Will those fit without rubbing? Cutting, and bfh are not a problem. The fenders have also been rolled already. I want to make sure every time i turn i wont be digging in to that tire. I also realize I will need to bring the car back to ride heighth or close to it.

The other option I saw was the weld star rt 15x8 5.5 bs. Same link.

For the tire M&H 275/60r15

I know these will fit much better, but how well will they hook with my power. As said before I will be making about 570 to the tire. Wich setup do you think would be more ideal?
Any input would help
