Default 2009 OEM C6 Wheels

Hey guys, I need some advice. I'm looking at buying some OEM C6 wheels off of a 2009 Vette. What size tires do you guys recommend for these? I plan on lowering my car as well. They are 18 up front and 19X10 in the back. I know I'll have to by the 1.25" adapter for the back to get them to fit. They will be going on a 99 TA. Would like to see some pics of these on a TA with lowering kit if anybody has any. Thanks.

on a 19x10 probly a 295 or 305-30. or go to tirerack.com and compare overall diameters to match your 18 fronts and 19 rears.

Ok so I ended up getting the wheels. Now I need to find the right tires. I did some research today on tirerack like adviced and actually came up with more questions. What I figured out is that that stock diameter on my car is aproximetly 26.1. The rear C6 19X10's has 285/35/19 on them but are shot. From searching around on here some people recommend running 275/30/19's but they also say that it is a pretty miserable ride. So I was thinking about staying with the Stock C6 285/35/19 on the back. They run about 26.7 to 26.9 in diameter. Thats not to far from the stock diameter. Now to find a tire for the front. Right now they have 225/40/18's on them. Its a shame because they are like new. Considering they are so narrow I would like to go with 245/40/18 up front but the diameter is around 25.7. If I run the 295/35/19 in the back and 245/40/18 up front is this going to cause any issues? Such as throwing off my ABS code or messing up my speedo. If it just throws off the speedo how much?

so ur lookin at about an inch difference f to r...not 100% sure on the abs question but i don't think thats enough to cause trouble. the speedometer issue; yes. check on tirerack how many revolutions per mile a 26.9 makes compared to a 25.7 (approx 800 if i recall correctly). i'm guessing less than 5mph difference @ 60mph.

I believe stock diameter is closer to 25.6, after all my research I've found you want the front and rears to be within about .5 of eachother to be perfectly safe. Some people do get away with a larger difference.

Also you don't want the front sidewall being terribly larger than the rear either it just looks funny.

There is only one tire brand available in the 295/35/19 size btw, and it is a way tall tire. Nearly 27"

I think:
245/40/18 up front
25.71 diameter and 3.85 sidewall
305/30/19 in back
26.2 diameter and 3.60 sidewall

It's impossible to get matching sidewall and diameter in staggered sizes. But those are close enough to not look bad at all.

I run 245/40-18 up front and 285/35-19 out back on my OEm C6 wheels. Im lowered with Stranos (1.25" Drop) and have 1.25" wheel spacers out back and rolled rear fender lips. Fronts dont rub AT ALL ever ha and the rears only rub the lip on very hard corners. Hope that helps and feel free to PM me or respond if you need to know anything else...
