Default How will my car handle/brake with skinnies?

I installed some Billiet Specialties 15" with MT 28" 325/50/15 in the rear. Car is a soon to be installed 13.5 comp. 408 with big shot of N20. I still have my 17'' upfront how much will 15'' skinnies hurt cornering or my bracking. I'm used to power sliding on on ramps or going light to light with my buddies Vett.

Handling doesn't exist with skinnies. As far as braking goes, you have to take your ABS fuse out otherwise your ABS acts up due to barely any wheel in the front.

I have a 9'' rear that doesn't have ABS anyway. If you step on it in a corner do you just over power the fronts and just keep going straight? Basically you can only give it gas pointing straigt.

I'm pretty sure if I were to give it gas trying to go around a corner with my 15x4's I'd instantly lose control.

How much of a performance is there with skinnies. With my schedule I can only make it to the track 2x a year but play around alot with my buddies cars. Thinking maybe if its not worth it performance wise for what you give up and the safety aspect to maybe put 17'' back on front.

Track wise it's more about the loss of weight and rotating mass.

My question is whats the hard # at the track between skinnies and lighter than stock 17 from billeit specialties that I would give up to have better handling and braking in the 99% of the time Im not at the track.

Best bet is to search on here for those that have actually gone to the track before and after. I've yet to go on my new setup so I have no numbers.

I personally don't think the skinnies are worth it on the street. Takes a lot of the fun factor away.

Get some stockers or something stock width for road course racing. When you corner hard you put a LOT of weight on either front wheel and with skinnies that is TOO much. They were designed to go straight and be light

Unless you are making a lot of power or drag racing a lot skinnies probably aren't all that beneficial for you
