275/40/17 ZRi's hook better than my eagle F1's?
I have a 01 WS6 M6 bolton car and I always run street tires because I have the OEM P.O.S. 10 bolt with 4.10's now and I daily drive it 500mi+ per week. Anywho I had Fuzion ZRi's on the rear 3 yrs ago when I got the car and I was stock and never ever spun, I ran 13.18@105mph 1.9 60ft. Since then I have full exhaust, built t56,4.10's, and usual boltons but no tune yet and I've tried yoka's,kumho's best summer tires with terrible traction issues so I got ZRi's again and they hooked almost like E.T. streets, I went 12.77@111mph with 2.0 60ft but launched from 1200rpm, my best run was on ET's 315's I went 12.49@112mph 1.6 60ft launched at 4k but never doing it again with the 7.5" rear. I always wanted to try goodyear eagle F1's GS D3 and I just got a good deal on 2 for $100 that still have nipples on the sides and only 1k miles, the shop paid $225 for them off a c4 vette I think that was totalled and the kid was pissed at owner that day and I tipped him $10 and he sold them for $90 lol. Problem is that I spin thru 1st and 2nd with them and my ZRi's would only spin from about 3500 in 1st until I got into 2nd then it grabbed. The ZRi also would fling rocks in my fenderwells after driving 5 mi or so in 80 degrees or more and these F1's dont get sticky like that. I also noticed the ZRi's tread width is like a 90 degree angle from top to side and the F1 has a radius, ZRi says 98W on sidewall and F1 says 93w, is that millimeters in width? The ZRi has quite a bit more tread contact surface it looks like, does ne1 know what is up? I have always read and researched 4hrs this week about this and all I see is how F1 is superior in dry and wet to all street radials?
