Default Mini-tubbers in here

What size tire are you using on your mini-tubbed f-body's? Will Hoosiers 28x14.50 15 QTP fit in there?

That will be close. Control arm clearance, and as the suspension travels, the outer fender lip would be the points of concern.

Fwiw, look @ the carcass width on it, to get a better idea. Standard 28x10.5 with offset control arms has about an inch of clearance. So, 2 inches wider puts the tire on the control arm. Get rid of the slugs, put the lca against the body and you get another 1/4 inch or so. At some point, either a smaller diameter rear lca will be needed (and you can only go so skinny on something like that), or you will have to shift it to the inside of the body's stock mount, which isn't that hard to do.

You will run into the bump stops, and possibly the phb mount on the body too depending on the car and where the carcass of the tire is the biggest.

Thanks man. Normally I wouldn't even consider going away from my drag radials, but all there is here in Wichita Falls, Texas is bracket racing, so a slick just makes more sense....and the more rubber I can get to the road in this heat the better off I'll be. I think I might try to get the Hoosier to fit. I think it will. I see people with 325/50-15 M/T drag radials on their f-body's without the tubs. The Hoosier 28x14.50 is almost the same size as the M/T 325/50. The section width on both tires is 13.1". The tread width on the Hoosier is a little wider at 12", compared to the 325/50 at 11.6". These will be going on a 12" wheel, so it will spread them out a little but also keep them at/under 28" tall. I know the Hoosier will grow a little on the big end too. I don't know though.....I don't want to buy a tire that ends up not fitting.....hopefully someone will chime in that already has experience with the Hoosiers.

I know the 28" diameter will fit....it's more the width I'm worried about.

straight from wolfe racecrafts site. Provides additional clearance for larger tires, and allows you to pull the tires in more to lower your car. Can be used with stock suspension (requires modifications to the spring mount) & ladder bars. Leaves frame in stock location (required for many classes)

Provides approximately 16" from inner wheel tub to outer lip of fender. Plenty of clearance for 315/60/15 Drag radials & 29x10.5nonW Slicks on 12" rims

I can tell ya now that there's no way you'll be able to tuck a 14.5" tire with mini-tubs if that's what your goal is.

The 28x14.50-15 Hoosier QTP has a 13.1" section width and a 12" tread width. That's a smaller tire than your 345/30/19, is it not? Other than being about 1/2" taller.

Well, I guess it will fit then. I was thinking that it would be wider than that.
