Default Help me with my stance looks cool on vdubs but not this ahhhhh

So i got my car about 2 months ago. love it overall but GA damn whats up with this front stance ?

They look like the c5 replicas from OE Wheels.

Fronts appear to be 17 x 9.5

But for some godawful reason there is a 2 inch spacer !!!!! wtf ?

Car is lowered on eibachs i was told.

From the looks of things i have about an inch to spare before it rubs

If you have a 1998 -2002 trans am with these wheels please post pictures and tell me how you solved this problem i am having !!! Im going ape **** over here

Need my car to stop looking like this

thanks

_ dante

I run a 17x9.5 inch wheel from the same people, doesn't rub, so take them off.

There is no place on the front to use a hammer. Unless you're going go hammer the plastic shield? Or your spindles and bend them. Don't use a hammer on the front of your car. There are tons of guys using 17x9.5 wheels on here without rubbing.

The reason why it looks like it will rub on a lift is because your suspension is not loaded. When your suspension is loaded with the car on the ground, you will see it clears the spindle cleanly.

If you are rubbing with a 17x9.5 wheels your are running a really really low suspension setup.

Take the spacer off and get a wider tire so you get rid of the stretched look.

get rid of the spacer, put the rims back on and see if they rub...if they rub, get a smaller spacer then what is on there. Plenty of people run 17x9.5 inch rims including myself without any issues at all.

I've had 17x9.5 OE wheels ZR1s on my car for over 6 years with no rubbing.

offset is a + 45 but its got this massive papper weight spacer 2 inches thats + another 50 mm. so its + 95 wtf

i can keep the wheels then do a + 10 mm spacer be at +55 and it should do fine ?

would i need longer studs for this to happen ?

based on this thread i need to fall in between 50- 56
