Default Widest wheel/tire I can run without minitub...

Hey guys I have a 1998 formula ws6 with stock wheels and drag radials... Im wanting to trad off my wheels and getting some welds, or some kind of drag setup, I have thought about mini tub but do not know how far I wanna tear up my car... I want the widest rim/tire I can get and keep the tucked in look I hate when the wheel stick way out past the lip... Thanks

It's common to run a 15x10 7.5BS with a 325/50/15

unless your making crazy power 315s is about all ya need in a good drag radial, keep in mind nittos run small so you can easlily go 325 and maybe 335s on those

i got c6 zo6's 19x11 rear and 18x8.5 front right now ive got michelin pilot 325-35-19 on the rear so far no rubbing but depending on the backspace of your wheels and if your rear end is actually centered instead of shifted to 1 side like most cars ive seen then 325's with the right backspace and offset should fit fine as long as u watch the overall diameter

I Agree. But 315s on a lowered car= lots of BFHing and Roll fenders. My car is lowered 1.75" on 315s.

I'm going to rephrase the question now... How wide of 15" rim/tire can I run with the tucked in look... as in tucked inside the fender lip by a good bit... lowered..

A 15x10m 7.5"BS with a 275 will fit fine if you don't want to do any work to get it to fit.

325/50/15s will need some BFH'ing. I didn't remove my bumpstops or roll my fenders, but if you're looking to not hit your car with a sledge hammer, don't get 325s. Go 275s for sure. As for something that won't stick out, you might have to scale it back to a 15 x 8 rim with a smaller tire.
