Default Streetable Drag Radials?

Just looking for opinions on a drag radial that is decent on the street.

Been running my Camaro at the drag on street tires for too long. Want to upgrade to Drag Radials. I don't care about comfort, or road noise, or what's prettier. Just want to get an idea of expected tread life for different drag radials that are daily driven, and if there is a drag radial out there you can drive in the rain. Of course performance is in mind as well, but I don't imagine there is a DR out there that is better at the track and the road, figured it would be one or the other. So in this case I would favor daily driver status over performance due to just going to any DRs should be an upgrade to my street tires at the 1/4 mile.

Point being, the car drives to the track, and goes straight to staging, no pit required. Any suggestions?

yeah i have had a few sets but i thought the nitto 555rs are pretty good for street use, they hook up pretty good, decent in the rain, and seem like they dont wear out as fast, i also liked the g force , there the best looking imo, mts are the best dr, but they wear out fast ,and not the best in rain etc,

Thanx for the responses. Sounds like Nitto 555r is the way to go.

sounds like you want nittos, but they arnt much better than a good street tire, you have you really heat them up to get them to hook and the more you run them the more you wear them out burning out. but every other tire is going to wear out faster. plus on a stock rear I wouldnt put anything stickier tha na 315 nitto

Im really happy with M and H great in the rain with over 1/8 thread, They come with some tread tread depth, unlike how 555R and MT come with about 1/4 tottal.

I think you'll be happier with the Nitto. I love M/T's(last three set have been M/T's), But I will say that though the M/T rules at the track, the Nittos OWN them in the rain. I picked up 2 tenths 60" going to Nitto's, then another tenth or so to M/T's- but the mickey's wear twice as fast and hate water.

all in what u want. the mickeys will wear extra fast, even worse when daily driving on them but hook better. nittos are ok in the rain, still not safe as some may lead u to believe. u wont be flowing with traffic on either. Do like i did, get a bum set of wheel(only 2) an put stickys on them for playtime.

Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials hand down! I've been running them for 14 months now straight. Love them! Been in the snow, the rain, been at the strip, been on 500+ mile trips. No complaints at all. I'm running a 315/35/18 and I paid $199 for them at the time, but they've gone up a bit.
