Default 7 inch front rims problem??!!!

Hi everyone, i just ordered some billet specialist rims for my camaro. The problem is i ordered 7 inch wide front rims, and i started thinking that i might of done a mistake. With 7 inch rims wont i have weak brakes because there is less rubber in front holding the pavement? Also will i have problems on higher speeds like 5th wot? I know please dont judge guys but they closed our drag strip and have no plan to opening it up soon, soo i street race. Everyone wants to race from a rolling 75mph, i know its funny and no fun but thats what people want here. Personally my camaro is ready for the strip but until they open it iam left with street racing and high speeds. That was a little justification to my question so you guys dont eat me alive:p. Soo what you think guys did i do a mistake with a 7inchfront rim? Or i wont have trouble? Thanks everyone.

No problems here with a 7" street lite up front... I think you'll be fine.

I run a 17x6 Bogart up front and have no issues. The car gets drove on the street almost weekly and its legs get stretched a lot!

coefficient of friction stays the same regardless of tire width. If you increase the tire size, the pressure per square inch between tire and pavement decreases, so it all evens out.

Yep agreed with the others, I have the 7" streetlites up front as well and I did so to avoid the worsened braking response from a true skinny. It's a great compromise between weight loss and streetability IMO.
