widen ws6 wheels 13", mini tub, 335 35 17
i am needing some help. i love the looks of the ws6 wheel and i am wanting to widen mine. i see how a few people have had theirs widened to 11" so they can get the 315 on there but i am wanting someting a little different. a little wider my big question is, if i get them widened to 13", what all will i need to do to make them fit? completely stock rearend and i plan to keep it that way, besides 4:10s. i am planning on a mini tub but i dont know what else i would need.... i am also planning on putting 335 35 17 hoosier DRs on it. would that be enough of a sidewall for the 17s?
thanks for any help

i realize the 335s will fit on the 11" rim, but IMO they look too sucked in.. so i fugured if im going wider than 11, i might as well get what 335 will fit really well on, the 13". Do you guys think it is possible i can just get them widened to 12" and fit without a mini tub?
thanks for the replys guys

I would be interested to see who will widen the stock wheels that much. Wheels America would only give me 2" (I know, "Thats what she said!") So, mine are 11.5". I'm running 315 Nittos NT555's and think they look pretty flush with the rim. I know they run a little narrow but I dont see any issue running 335's. I plan to next time for sure. It may take a little more hammer work but not much. The extra 20mm difference is less than 1" difference.

I seriously doubt you are going to get a 13" wheel to fit within the stock frame rail and the fender without notching your frame rail. If you're cool with that part, then go for it.
12's are definitely doable with a minitub. worst case you'll need to clean up the frame rail area where it has a bulge. Might just need to box it in so it's smooth.

OP I'm all for being different but its unnecessary. An 11 is all you will ever need in a 17. If you had 19s and wanted a 345 or 355 I could see a 13 or 14 but making it that wide for a 335 that will fit an 11 inch wheel will cause more headache than needed. All you would need with an 11 inch wide WS6 wheel is a 1 inch spacer

On mine, the entire stock rail has been smoothed up and boxed but not notched. We were planning on a 12" wheel with beadlocks so it would be right at 13.25" at the beadlock. We opted out because of how ridiculously tight it would be in my car. You better make DAMN SURE that you have your backspace 100% spot on if you do a 13 is all i can say. I think with our setup we had .5" of room total. Best case we were around .25 room on either side of the wheel from interference. Maybe you arent setting your car down as low as we are and thereby putting the frame rail in a different position?

Let me re-phrase: I am not comfortable with the room within the STOCK rail and the fender lip. I have to assume from your post that you have a 13?
