Needs some 20s.

Not saying they don't look good OP, they are nice wheels...but you need bigger.

I don't like the heavy SUV wheels these cars come with. I lost 66 lbs in rotating mass when I swapped to 18s. This alone got me about .364 seconds and 2.887 mph in the 1/4 mile. On regular street tires NOT drag radials.

Car feels so much lighter and nimble with these wheels.

I know it looks a little goofy, but I'd rather go fast.

I bought these tires just to see how they would look. They are a little shorter than I would like at 26" tall. My last tires 295/40 18 were a better height at 27.2" but they were too narrow.

That's doesn't look goofy at all to me. IMO the 5 gens stock wheels are to damn big.

I think 28" drag radials would be perfect.

i believe the new muscles cars with the high waist lines need the 20 inch tires, however you make a good point about the rotating mass in your quest for speed haha. Your car looks sick, but I believe from a cosmetic view point only, a 20 inch rim would look better for the gen 5. it looks real mean from the rear, i like the bowtie and berger panel look a lot...please get rid of the mud flaps =) sick car OP. what's it even run in the 1/4? sorry if i missed that.

i agree it looks killer, im not a fan of the bigger rims, i would rather have a bigger tire, ride looks great man, you can never make anyone happy put 20s on a 4th gen everyone hates it, they say 20s arent for muscle cars, who knew you would get hated on for taking 20s off a 5th gen lol

You should get some nt05rs. They make a 315/35/18 I believe.
So you think that 335 is a good fit for a 11" wheel?
Car looks good btw.

it looks good nice job. if I ever find myself getting a 5th gen (re-do the interior please GM) I'll most likely be getting 18s too.

Nitto makes a 315/40 18 NT05R, it's 28" tall and I already had a set, I got rid of them and now have 26" drag radials. These cars are too heavy and don't have enough gear for a tall tire. What's funny is almost everyone on Camaro5 runs 29" drag radials, just because they are close to the stock tire height of 28.7". I would do gears but they are CRAZY expensive for us. The gears themselves are $800! Here is a pic of the NT05R on my car.

Yeah, 20's do look better, but I would rather have more tire choices, pay less for tires, run faster and pretty much increase every other performance aspect of my car.
Best so far is 12.3 @ 113 in shitty air (I think it was 12.1 @ 115 corrected).
My goal is to run 11s with just bolt ons.

I had bigger tires on the 18s, it looked real goofy.

I agree with you 100%. I think that they new wheels and tires look really good. You also bring up a great point with the weight reduction.

I get why you did it, and I love the width, but I agree a taller rim would look better on such a big car. Still nice though!

That's crazy to think that you lost that much rotating weight.
Awesome man. I'm not into verts, but the car looks pretty darn good.
