Best set of tires

Best set of tires I need some help guys. What is the best tire for a Firebird, size 245/50/16 under $100? Local tire company told me Kumho Ecstas but my mom got the cheapest Kumhos for her SUV to replace the stock ones and those are terrible tires, always getting a something caught in them, and they always look low in air. They already look used up and she just got them under 6 months ago. Her stock tire was a much better set than the Kumhos she got.

I've never had problems with Kumhos. I've had the Ecsta 712's, XS's, ASX's, and AST's. The only problems I can report are that they no longer make the 712's, the ASX's and AST's no longer are available in 255 width, and the XS's are a summer tire that is dangerous in the winter.
