Default ?'s about prostar setup

Was looking into getting some Prostars, was thinking of what size and bs. What you guys think about 15x8 with 5.5 bs for rears and 15x4 with 1.75 bs for fronts? Also what size tires? Maybe 275/60/15 rears and 165/80/15 fronts? Let me know thanks

Go with a 15x10 and 7.5" backspacing for the rear, so many more tire choices. I ran 15x4s with 2.25" backspacing and the 8 ply M/T Sportsman.

Get a tire that is rated for the weight on the front, not the cheap VW type tires

Are they just for track use? 6 speed car? I would also read about the abs issues when going with a 28 inch rear, its not a real big deal but some people get weird about crap like that

Mainly a street car for now. Talked to my friend and he said 275/60/15 for the rears. It's an automatic 02 z28

Why are you buying a drag setup for the street?

So a 7.5 bs for the back will be for a stock rear end?

15x8 wheel = 5.5 backspace
15x10 wheel = 7.5 backspace
For the fronts I had 15x3.5 Draglites (and later Prostars) with a 1.75 backspace; they fit perfectly. Get the Mickey Thompson 8 ply front runners, or the M/T Sportsman radial.
Be sure to get longer (at least 2.5") ARP wheel studs on all 4 wheels.
