Default Tire height fitment on 18x10.5 +56 Offset

I want to run 315s on the new rims I'm getting, idk what tire height I can go with that won't rub. Id like to run the 315/40/18 Nitto NT05R with the 18x10.5 rims with the +56 offset. Other than a little BFH modding, will I have any fitment issues with that tire size? If so, what tire size do you recommend?

i have rims that are the same size and am currently running 305/35/18 tires. The tires i have now are a little taller then stock height so a 315/40/18 would definately be quite a bit taller then stock. Mine dont rub but im not lowered or anything like that yet

315/30/18 or 315/35/18 will fit with bfh. and you have to cut off the bump stops

I Had a local shop do it professionally. They used a tool that hooked to the hub. Looks flawless for $75 a side. Some guys use a bat but the one I saw my buddy do to his ws6 looked nasty

A 315/40/18 tire is going to be just under 28" tall. A stock tire is roughly 25.7" tall. 2" is a good bit of height.

I'm running a 295/35/18 on some 18x10.5 z06 wheels and it required just a touch of bfh and fender rolling. I had a 5/16" spacer as well.

Sounds like a lot of modifying to fit a tire over 300 with 35 or above. But I really want traction, so I'll be going for it haha. How much does it normally cost to get fenders rolled?

I put a 295/35r18 on my 10.5 z06. Passenger side was fine, driver side took a little bfh. Only downside is that I have to lift the car with a floor jack instead of a lift BC the tires hit the bump stops when lifted. I think I'm gong to pick up some jeep bump stops so my tires don't get cut if I bounce too hard out of an invisible pothole.

yeah my bump stops fell off so i'm not too worried about that haha. I Really want to run 315/40/18 NT05R in the rear. Has anybody managed to get that exact size to fit on fbody?

Why exactly do you want to run a 40 series tire other then traction? If you're that worried about traction, just don't run 18" wheels.

A 40 series tire on a 18" wheel, on a fbody will look kinda goofy, IMO.

I paid $100 to get my fenders rolled. It was either rent a tool for $75 plus shipping, and do it myself, or go with a guy that's done hundreds of cars. The choice was pretty simple. I did help the guy a bit while he did them. I would have easily done them, if my only option was to rent the tool, or pay a guy like $200 to do them. It wasn't hard at all.

Need to run 18in wheels for the brake kit I am getting. I want a 3xx series tire from Nitto, and the 315/40 has the smallest tire diameter of the 3xx NT05r. Sounds like a good deal for the fenders, i'll have to browse around, thanks for the info
