Default Need some 315/30/18's...what do you recommend?

I've got some BFG drag radials on now, they didn't survive the Power Tour, barely even made it halfway, last year. i'm EXTREMELY disappointed in them all around, poor treadlife, no traction (although my car is kinda wild), and poor wet weather performance.

I can see i'm left with few options. As far as i can tell, i'm looking at the Nitto Nt-01 or Falken Azenis RT-615K.

I've been happy with Nitto in the past as well as Falken, but never had either one on my car since the 454 went in. i don't expect to ever get any traction, but SOMETHING would be nice...does anybody have much experience with these two tires?

Any other recommendations? i'm not opposed to maybe running a 305/35 or 295/35...i don't want to go any bigger than 315 though. the rims are 18x11 i believe.

I have had half decent luck with the Toyo R888s. Mine are almost done though, and I'm mounting up a pair of Hoosier R6s this year.

I'm running a 305/35/18 R888. I have a 480rwhp and 3.90 gears. This is the result:

i'm pushing 600rwhp with 4.11's and a T56...not exactly a tire-friendly combo

i ran the car in georgia and it spun all the way down the track, even when i lifted and eased back into it, it would spin. 13.1 @ 130mph I do a little better with the Bogarts, but i don't drive on the street much with them, certainly not on the Power Tour....

How many miles are people getting out of these on the street? Of course, I know it's going to vary but I run them for circuit racing, and they're a damned fine tire there. Just wondering how many street miles people are seeing.

Have you looked at the proxes tq? I ran them on my procharged Trans am and loved them.

They don't hook quite as good as a Mickey, but more than a nitto. I didn't put many miles on them, but they seemed to be wearing good. A lot better than a set of bfgs I had before. They are reasonably priced too.

I just ordered a set of 555R's. They were cheap and I know they last a while. I don't think there's any point in trying to get a 18" tire to hook on my car. I need to get some good highway miles out of them. When I need traction I'll bolt on my Bogarts.

That's about all you can do.
