I'm using GTO spares for skinnies. What tires?

Well I found some MH tires in the size of 185/55/17's that should fit, but they are pretty expensive. I would like to go the Hoosier or MT route.
Hoosiers website says they have a 22.0/2.5-17 tire. I have no idea how it is sized. I am guessing in inches? Can anyone give me actual sizes for MT or a Hoosier skinnie that fits this wheel?
I guess I should add that I am looking for a bias ply tire for the skinnies as that is what my slicks are in the back. Anyone know what size or tire will work here?
