Default Black Chrome CCW's?

So I ordered a set of CCW 19x10/19x11 505a's for my Z28...Im really excited about getting them on but after talking to the guy from CCW, he mentioned that since Im in an area prone to Salt water and winter conditions, the wheels are susceptible to corrosion w/out protection. I have an idea to get them 'Permachromed" Black Chrome....My car is black and I think they would look great. Anyone every see or have pic's of black chrome on a Camaro? Any thoughts or opinions?

Why in the world would you roll ccws threw a winter? Get yourself some 16inchgood snowflakes and snow tires, sorry but to spend that much and destroy them makes no point to me

I daily drive on mine, granted it only snows here 4-5 times a year, but it still rains here often enough, along with our nasty dust storms. It's all about the amount of time & effort that YOU wanna put into actually keeping them clean.

Salt is evil. They ruined my chrome C6 vette replica wheels in one winter just being parked in my appartment parking lot. The landlord salted the parking lot and plowed snow around my TA.

Yeah there is no way after you see them you will want to cover them up, look in the ccw thread, there is a black ss with black sp500s, they look great but you should also look at the c5dd thread ,some member had his pc all black on a black ss,

The good thing about powder coating is paint stripper will remove it and not hurt your wheels. Personally I would leave them as, BUT if they powder coat them black chrome over the polished wheel you could remove it later if you wanted.

I fist did his chrome smoke(gun metal looking) and he didn't like it, so I removed it to do them black chrome

I JUST did a set of ZR1's(that were chrome) black chrome. I will see if he can put a pic up...

You could always go with the hyperblack finish. Not sure if doing only the center is an option, but that would look killer. Keeping the lips polished shouldn't be too much trouble. My theory is if you're going to drop that much coin on some bad *** wheels, then don't be lazy and keep them polished up. I polish mine pretty much everytime I drive it. Mine is not a daily driver, but since yours is, one a week should be good.

When the car gets out of the shop I'll snap a few...its black chrome...with multiple colors from different sunlight angles

I like it...truely a unique look on this type of wheel.

Yes I need tire shine.

This last one shows, with the different light, the wheel changes...in the early morning the wheels look blue.
