Default 245's on 9"?

The charts show that 9" is the max wheel width for 245's. I'm thinking of going to 245/45/17 on my front 17x9" wheels as the Nitto 275's on the rear are narrow. Plus there my be less trammeling than with the 275's.

Any input would be appreciated.

Ive run a 245 on a 9" wheel with no issues. I had 245/40-18s on my Sonoma for years.

You're sadly mistaken if you think a 245 width tire will follow ruts in the road any less than a 275 width tire does. I have 245s on my Trans Am GTA and the front tires wander the same as my WS6 does with 275s.

On an fbody it looks stupid imo and the tires always seem stretched.
