Cracked ZR1 Replicas !!!!!AFS WHEELS!!!!!
So I was washing the car yesterday, had the wheels off to clean all the brake dust from the inside of the wheel and found this:
The wheels have maby at the most 20k miles on them. I know the crack isn't serious yet, but it will only get worse with time. Those of you who bought replica ZR1 wheels might want to take them off and take a peek to see if yours are also cracking. Only one of mine did and it was a front.

I'll do some research and see if I can figure out where they came from. I bought them new from a friend many years ago. They were actually on a c4 vette for a while. LOL! I'll see what I can find.

So I got ahold of the guy that I bought the wheels from. He picked them up from e-bay. I have no idea what brand they are. Next time I have them off I'll look at the casting marks to find something. Any ideas what to look for to identify them?

So I pulled the wheels off again to do something else, and while I had them off I thought I would get some pics of the casting. come to find out, they are not chinese. They are from the good old USA. I'm putting this info up here hoping that I can track down who made these to see if I can get it replaced, or just buy another one. Anyway here is the pic.
Wheel information
C 08 0010
17X9.5 56
max load 1700 lbs
DOT-T
AFS
H 1780S
MADE IN USA
It looks like AFS is the manufacturer. I will try and see what they say about it.

Ok so after figuring out the manufacturer was AFS, And doing a search on google, I find that cracked AFS wheels are common, and I'm pretty much screwed because they aren't going to do anything, and it dosn't look like they even make these anymore. Oh well i guess!!!
