Default Falken FK452

Anyone use the Falken FK452 in 275/40/17? They are fairly inexpensive but I've not really found any reviews on here.

I jus' put those on my front rims. I've only got about 500 miles on them though and can't really say much about them unfortunately. I went with them too because of the price and looks also because of the great reviews on other forums too. Type in "Falken 452 review" in Google and you should come up with a ton of reviews from various forums.

I've seen mixed reviews on places like discount tire direct, however, reviews are hard to trust on retail site since anyone can write them. People who are paid to write fake reviews, employees/owners, etc...

What tire do ya'll suggest in the <$150/tire category?

Wow, not many posts but I have to agree with a few people. Every Falken tire that I have had seems to be hard. Good street tires but don't hook very well. As for the KDW2's I just ordered my second set tonight from Tirerack. These hook very well for the price, and they do a really good job in the rain for what they are. Some people say you can't drive this tire in the snow, but you can if the snow is 1-2 inches and you warm your tires up real good. They are also not as loud as some would have you imagine, but they are louder than most.

Well my car is just bolt-ons, so I'm not too concerned with traction. I would like a quiet tire though since it's my dd.

Plus the tires are $180 a piece and the Falken's are $120.

I've had a couple sets of 452's, and IMO their a good tire for the price.

Here's a nice tire regardless of price.

They are an OK tire at best. As far as grip goes, they aren't the best. They need some heat to be able to provide anything in the way of traction. You can REALLY feel a difference in cold weather, that's when they really suck. They're not too bad I the rain though, considering they are supposed to be a summer tire. These run pretty narrow and tall for their size too. I wouldn't buy them again.
