Don't chrome them. They will look cheap. If you are thinking about coating them, maybe powder coat the centers? That way you only have to polish the hoop.

What did U polish them with, they are suppose to look like mirrors. use Meguiars mag & aluminum polish. take them off, grab so beer and have at it.
I have the same wheels, if the insides (behind the spokes) are bad use .000 steel wool (found anywhere for 3 6 dollars), than the polish.

I made a thread like 1.5 years ago or maybe 2? where I showed where I had to take a file to the edges to smooth them out...

They were in ROUGH shape and I haven't wetsanding them with 1000, 1500 & 2000... Then I would follow them up with Adam's No. 1 & 2...

I do not have the time to finish them up, hence why chroming them has now become an option.

Polish, chrome is tacky IMO. I'd pay someone to repair/polish them.

Going the chrome route will be far better if you're DIY polishing, however chrome will add weight to the rim which will slightly hurt your performance.

Chrome. Cheap cast iron chrome wheels look cheap, chromed CCW's do not look cheap. plus you won't have to be a slave to them for the rest of your life.

Having owned polished CCWs, I offer this opinion: chrome them. Honestly, they were one of the worst purchases for my old Camaro...I never wanted to drive it because I never wanted to run into anything that would make the wheels dirty. Cleaning them was a nightmare, and all it took was one puddle.

I agree with everything he said, except getting them chromed. I sold my CCW's because I was sick of polishing them, and got powdercoated Forgestars. The wheels are too nice to coat, so I say either deal with them or sell them. Get a buffing ball, some sand paper, and some good polish and go to town. You should have them looking really good in a day or two. Quit procrastinating!!
