so i have a 1998 camaro ss, and i was just wondering what wheel and tire width i can go without fabricating anything. ive heard a 10.5in rear wheel with 305s wont rub or anything.. just wondering what some of you guys have to say, thanks!

17x11 rim, 315 wide tires

I'm running a 17 x 11 TT II with a 315-35-17 on my T/A. Only problem I had if I hadn't modified anything was that when jacking the car up by the body the wheel would hit the bump stop keeping the rearend from fully extending down. I took a grinder and trimmed 3/8 of a inch or so off the corner of the bumpstop/mount and no more problems. I did however go ahead and hammer the inner fenders just to make sure I wouldn't have any light rubbing at high speed. Better safe than sorry but I wouldn't have had to.

I run an 11in wheel with a 315, just need to hammer inside wheel wells a bit (BFH mod) and it doesn't rub, anything wider may need other modifications...

what about on the front? i was thinking about running 18x9.5s all around on 295/35/18 bfgoodrich kdws. would i rub without any modification? sorry for thread jacking

I run a 15x10 and 325/50 Mickey Thompsons. Just depends on hom much BFH mod you want to do.

IIRC, it seems like some one had 335 street tires on some 17X11 ZR1 wheels and didnt have to cut anything.
