Default Anyone running a 3" narrowed rear w/ 5.5" BS 10" wheels?

(Reposting from here)

Anyone? Pics? Opinions?

Reason I ask is I'm going to get a 3" narrowed rear, and I want my tire to be pretty tucked in. Gunna run a 275 / 60 / 15 on a 10" wide wheel. Wondered if anyone ever ran a 5.5" BS in this scenario.

what i have been reading is .. if factory lenth rearend with a 10" wheels requires a 7.5 b.s , then a rearend shorten 2" would need a 5.5 b.s wheel... 3" shorter will need a 4.5 b.s wheels

Yes that is standard, but it looks horrible because it sticks out so far. I currently have a stock rear with a 10" wide wheel and 7.5" BS and I don't like it. I want my wheel / tire tucked in a bit like the ones you see above.

I run the same setup as above. 3" narrowed per side with a 15x10 5.5 b.s. wheel on 295/55r15 mickey thompsons. I run a .25" spacer only because when i turn the tire rolls into the inner wheel well and barely scuffs when i dont run the spacer, i could probably massage the fender a little more and clear perfectly.

4.5'' b.s. like others have said, sticks out to far.

With a 275/60/15 on a 15x10 with 5.5 BS and narrowed 3 inches per side need the inner well massaged? Will the 275 clear without using a BFH?

Nice pics of the tucked in wheel combo's.
Thank you for sharing them.

Bogart RT wheels

15x4 front and 15x10 rear.

The rears are offset for a rear that has been narrowed 3" a side.

Rear tires are M/T ET Street Radial 325/50/15.

The LT1 Camaro and the red T/A have 9" rear ends and the black T/A has a Dana S60 rear end.

i also have 10" rim with a 7.5 B.S and there's no way you have a nother inch in go IN , b/c i have maybe 1/8" before the tire hits the inner wheels house and i had to bang in the back seat belt area .. and my rear is centered with an adjust panhard bar ... your also saying(not that anyone would) that you can fit a 10" rim with a 8.5 B.s ON YOUR CAR ?

These are a bunch of BMR Suspension equipped vehicles so I have personally had the chance to work on all three of these cars and I can tell that this rear end and wheel combination works perfectly if you clearance/massage the inner fender well a bit with a hammer. I would much rather have a wheel that fits in the wheel and looks good with a clearanced inner wheel well (that you can't see) then to have a wheel that sticks out too far with a unclearanced inner wheel well (that you can't see).

You're right man, I have no idea how much my rear end was narrowed or what my wheel specs are. FACT: My rear end was narrowed 3" per side. FACT: I am running Weld RTS's that are 15"x10" (actually 10.25") with 5.5" of backspacing. Yes, I had to massage a small area in the lower front portion of the inner fender with a hammer AND cut the bump stops out. My car is also lowered with the "hose mod" and 1 coil cut off the factory springs. Adjustable control arms and an adjustable panhard bar are a must to center the wheel in the opening and center the axle in the car. I run a 1/4" spacer (so technically 5.25" backspacing) purely for aesthetics. I ran this setup without the spacer and thought the wheel sat too far in and looked funny.

Quick Reply: Anyone running a 3" narrowed rear w/ 5.5" BS 10" wheels?
