Question new set of C5 wheels for my z28..many questions please help

Ok so i had a set of C6 wheels on but i recently traded them for a set of C5 z06 wheels because i just love the look of them. Only thing is the tires are way too small and i'm not sure of the offset or wheel width. I'm looking to fit the largest tire i can without rub or modifications, its stock height and the wheels are 17s. Can anybody with these wheels let me know what size tire i can run? And the wheels themselves are flaking the chrome so they need to be redone. Only thing is i'm not sure which direction i should go as in painted or rechromed. My car is a 99 Z28 and its pewter, any suggestions? Thank alot

Problem located. The inside of the rims should say what the off-set and width are. I wouldn't go with anything taller than the current profile either as they look to be the right size, any bigger and you could be in the "over-sized" department and it will throw off your speedo a bit.

I'm looking to have a decent weekend roadcourse car it won't see much of the drag strip. I was wonderin if 275/40R17s would fit under my car without rubbing on these wheels? And what do you guys think about the bfgoodrich g force ta kdw tires?

275/40/17 or 285/40/17 or 295/35/17 mainly for rears, also if your lowered.

As said already, 275/40/17 is easy fitment. Ran that on my camaro for years! Would even fit easy if lowered. If you want any more sidewall than that though you'll want smaller wheels.
