Default What are the best hooking drag radials

I've been using the Nitto 555r 325/50r15 the last year. I really dont like how much spin I get, very little traction. And thats even with 3.42 gears.

I'm looking at the Hoosier 17318 in the same size. Heres the link

http://www.jegs.com/i/Hoosier/522/17318/10002/-1

The Nittos have a whole lot of tread, and that doesnt interest me at all. With the Hoosier there is almost no tread plus I'm sure coming from Hoosier the compound is much better so I would imagine this would be a better tire for the track, and even on the street.

Anyone know if this tire is any good or if there is one that hooks even better

The Hoosiers gook very good.. IMO the MTs hook a tad better on the street though.

M6? If so, you want a slick.. With a DR you will keep having traction issues.

Thanks for the info. Yea its a M6 and I'd like slicks but i mostly take it to cars shows and car meets. I only go to the track once every two months. But when I do go I'd like to not spin the whole way down.

Hoosier QTP or Mickey Thompson ET Street Pros. The two best tires I have ever had, both work good on street and track with M6 cars.

I had a lot of luck with the Mickey Thompson ET Street Pros. They hook pretty solid, and I drove the car on the street with them all the time. When I get a new set of tires for the track, I'm gonna get another set. Awesome tires.
