Default Can I Downsize 17" to 16" wheels on my WS6?

My 02 WS6 is at the body shop. Long story, but it needs new rims.
For many other reasons, I am looking to buy a 'donor' car, which is a regular Firebird.
Can I take the 16" wheels from it and use them on the TA?
Will this cause any problems? I've read conflicting reports. Yes, they'll fit, but they'll screw up my speedometer

This is just temporary, until I can find (and $ave enough) for the proper rims.

thanks in advance

As long as the overall diameter is the same, then nothing will be screwed up. If they're different, than your speedo will be slightly off but besides that it should work fine.

As stated above if the tires are 245/50R16 on the replacement wheels then it will be perfectly fine, won't affect a thing.

Interesting. So, if I use a smaller rim, but higher profile tire, then it should be unaffected. I know my tires are 275/40/17.

I see a lot of 16" rims for sale that look just like mine, but few 17".

https://ls1tech.com/forums/florida-c...les-tires.html I run these rims for along time on my ws6. Trying to sell if you are close to Florida.
