Default Nitto NT-01 street wise?

I'm wanting to get some 315/35/18 for my 00
Camaro, but I just seen a guy on craigslist with the NT-01 for $300 for two is it worth getting? Is it okay to use them on the street.

Plenty of cornering grip, but a very soft compound. Won't last very long on the street. Useless when temps are low. Wouldn't expect to get more than 10k miles out of them depending on how you drive

I have em on all 4's and they are awesome. Almost as good as the Nitto Drag radials (traction wise) on the street. Sticks like glue. Never drove with them in the rain so can't comment on that. Also not sure if tire shops give out warranty on those tires which is a good idea because they pick up everything.

They work like DR's in the rain, meaning they don't at all. They are a ton of fun in the dry, and have stiff sidewalls for fantastic handling. Very sticky compound for straight line grip too.

Obviously, they are NOT going to 'launch', or 60' like DRs, with the stiff road race sidewalls.

I had a set of 555R2s on all four corners in the past, and they did last a little past 12K miles of hard driving/a-x/open tracking till they were down to the cords.

Everyone is correct though about the cold grip as they become 'blocks of ice coated in gear oil' when even the DRY the ambient temps drop below ~45* F!!!

Well I got a pair for 280 and I'm wanting to see how it looks cause I have the fk452 on right now 285/30/18 on a 10.5 wheel and I don't like the stretched look, also I'm living in Arizona right now it's abou 75 degrees right now but it will hit 100+ easy
