Default ??? possible to run taller tires in rear w/o abs freaking out?

Just wondering if the computer can be programmed so that if I were to run 275/40/18 in the rear 26.7 height and 245/45/17 in front 25.7 height that the abs and traction control system could be made to not error.

just an FYI I understand that without a potential reprogramming that it will freak out so I am specifically asking if the computer can be reprogrammed at a dealer so that it wont freak out as I have some corvette size setup in 17/18 staggered that I want to run potentially.

Thanks in Advance.

I pulled the ABS fuse so that mine wouldn't freak out, but i'm curious if this could be changed in HPTuners too since I have a copy of it.

yeah hoping more for a solution that allows me to keep my abs and traction control rather then just making the light go away

From my experience you can have a difference of 1" front to rear. I'm not sure if it could be reprogrammed to accept a taller tire

havent gotten the tires yet just doing some preemptive problem solving as I've read several posts complaining about traction control and / or abs kicking in with staggered height tires installed.

I don't think you can change that, I pulled the fuse when I ran my 28's.

I'm pretty sure that's all coded in the ABS system, not the main computer, so you can't just reprogram the tolerances with HP tuners.

Some handheld tuners will let you change your tire size/aspect ratio. That would probably be cheaper than going with HP Tuners.

There is no option in HPT to modify ABS, HPT will allow you to change tire size for speedo function but thats about it.

I ran with a difference of 2'' from front to back on my 97 with no ABS issues but I do not have any experience with it on a 98-02 based F-body Yet!
