26" vs 27" tire?

26" vs 27" tire? Currently running a 2000 trans am with m6, 4:10 gears, moser hardened axles, and detroit true trac. Car makes 440 hp currently off the dyno tune. For this setup, which tire size would be better? Would a 27" be overkill? Thank you
