Default Tires rubbing on front bumper.... plz help.

Hope this is an acceptable place for this question.

Got a set of draglites off of Craigslist, and the front tires that came with them rub against my bumper and wheelhouse with very little turning. (Pics below) Guy I bought from had on a 94 with no motor, so it was impossible for me to see how they fit on his car fully weighted down. (He swears there was no rub) Anyway, mine is a 95 w/ OEM suspension, obviously the tire is too tall, and I want to pull the trigger on the MT sportsman 8 plys ( 26x7.5-15) but the tires that rub are (205/70-15) which is also supposed to be a 26" tall tire, according to (http://www.jekylhyderacing.com/HeightofTires.htm)
Just hoping that with being the same height, I am not going to have the same prob with the MTs rubbing. The fronts i have are the "Jegs" style draglites that use the OEM acorns, and I know they sport a little more offset to accommodate the brake caliper, but kinda hoping that it is both a height and width problem with the current tires. Anyone else ever have this issue?
