Need help picking out tire sizes!
I'm going to be purchasing a set of z06 rims for my camaro (stock height) which are 18x10.5 in the rear and 17x9.5 up front. What size tires should I go with? I was thinking about doing 265/45/18 in the back and 255/40/17 up front but I'm a little scared they're going to rub. Any help is appreciated

Well the thing is stock they're 245; I never take the car to the track and it is a daily driver. I think the highest I would possibly go is 275. Do you ever have problems with such a low aspect ratio?

I'm going to be running a 245/40/17 and 275/40/17 on a 9.5 and 11" wheel. Don't listen to everyone here and just run whatever you like as long as the tire specs say it works for that width wheel.
A lot of people here like putting tires that bulge on wide wheels like 315's that don't even help with traction.

I have the same setup and I run 295/35 and 275/40. Hammering wasn't needed but i did it for piece of mind. My 295s almost look to narrow for that wheel. From a daily driver perspective my car is WAY more stable and fun to drive then the 235s i had on it stock.

Im running a 17's all the way around but I do have a 285/40/17 in the rear, it looks and fits better then stock "Nitto 555's", I actually want to go wider in the rear...it really does make a difference... I have 17" 275's all the way around on my v6 camaro right now too on c5 z06 wheels, 9.5" wheels, absolutley no issues.

I hate the look of a streched tire. Guess this is just another matter of opinion.

...not to mention the increased probability of a bead unseating on a hard corner, or when you touch a curb by accident. Watched that happen once. Two wheels contacted the curb while this guy was attempting to park his TA with new wide, stretched tires. Both wheels got bad rash, one got flattened instantly. Hilarious for everyone but him.

Anyway, some tire companies run more narrow/wide than others, but 315s will fit your 18x10.5 wheel and look good:
Do you see any bulge here?
From the factory the C5 Z06 comes with 265 front, 285 rear. You can run 275 front, 315 rear.

listen : 9in-9.5in wheel, 275... 10.5in- 11in wheel 295-315 enough said..
275 is way too small for anything over 9.5..
check my sig pic.. 305-35-18 on a 10.5 wheel. no rubbing. car is not lowered.
