offset dimensions. help?

Default offset dimensions. help?

Is the offset the mesurement from the back of the rim edge or from the front? And how would i do the measurments to see if a set of wheels with a certin ofset and width would fit on my car?

I have but it doesn't tell me how to measure the offset so see how far out or in my wheels would set so I could see before I order them.

How wide are we talking here? Stock rearend?

Well lets say I'm looking at a set of 255/45/18 but I want a lip on the front and the back. Now I know with a lot of wheels the wider u go the less lip they will have. I'm looking to get a set that's as wide as I can fit under the front without rubbing and with a lip. I really want a set of hp evos
