Default C6 Spyders Installed

After going back and forth on models, colors, and sizes in my quest for new wheels, I settled on:
-18 x 9.5" C6 Spyders in Gloss Black all round (+40 mm offset)
-275/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sports up front
-285/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sports out back

I got the wheels from 6LE at a great price. I got the tires from discount tire direct at an awesome price as well.

Freshly out the box

Mounted up

Really mounted up

Sorry for the shitty pics. I'll have some more once I get her cleaned up this weekend.

I spent a ton of time going back and forth between the +56 mm and +40 offset. After looking at tons of pics and tons of PMs, I landed on the +40 and am glad I did. They actually sit inside the fender and look really good in person. I would not want it to sit in anymore.

You can run quite a bit of tire and a lot of offset up front. +40 is a good choice. +56 would have been 2/3 an inch tucked inside where you are now. Not huge, but it would push it further away from the outer fender...

Also, the 285 doesn't look big on the 9.5" rim at all......might try to get a 295 on it in the future....hmmmmmmm.

Now that it's been a couple of months, how are you doing on scratches from debris the tires? I was always afraid that rocks would always fly up a chip/scratch the **** out of my paint with the 40mm offset.

I guess looking at the 2 cars, we have different "lower halves". Mine curve in, and yours curve out. I might get more rock chips with mine or it might look too redneck, lol
