15s on rear LS1 fbody
Anyone have pics of before and after of what you have to grind off the caliper to fit. what back spacing for running a 15x10 do we need? thinking about going to 15s vs my 17x9s cause everyone keeps telling me about the sidewall etc is better for drag racing on launches and I can't do **** for a 60ft time!!!
Thanks
ps.. if you have a t56 fbody only... what wheel and slick/dr size combo are you running???

I personally don't have any pics of mine since I haven't done it yet. Just picked up some 15x10 wheels. Backspace for them is 7.5. Of course a 15 inch rim and tire is gonna launch better at the track cuz that's what it is usually intended for... But they'd have to be some sticky tires which are a soft rubber compound which means you'd get poor poor mileage out of them if you drive it on the street. Most people keep their street setup for the street and only switch over to the 15s for track. Wouldn't recommend driving a very sticky tire all the time. Unless you like buying new tires every 6 months lol

I don't have any pics of how I did mine, but I have 15x10 darkstars, on the caliper I grinded the three cooling fins flush and that is all that was needed to clear them. What I did was grind alittle, use a highlighter to mark what I did then put on rim to check clearance and repeated the process till I was happy with the fit, btw BS was 7.5, 12-bolt stock length

I run ls1 rear discs on my car. 15x10" 5.5" backspacing TTIIs fit with no grinding but my aluminum slotted mags needed some due to the design inside the wheel.
I just knocked off the corners of the brackets and the weird hump thing in the center of the caliper and repainted them. Can't even tell unless you know what they are supposed to look like.
A grinder will eat the aluminum quick so be careful until you get a feel for it.
