Default Lower 60 ft which set up?

Going to be doing some independent testing at the track over the next 2 months, but wanted opinions from others on what they think. The goal is the best ET (and best 60ft) and I'm trying to figure out if my street set up, or my dedicated drag set up will net me the best results.

Car is an M6 550 WHP Maggie charged LS1

Street set up: NT05R 305/35/19 (19 x 10 wheel)
Dedicated drag set up: BFG DR 275/45/17 (17 x 8 wheel)

More sidewall on the BFG seems like the winner, but then again the extra 30mm of contact patch may make a big difference. Thoughts?

I would run slicks for a dedicated drag setup on a M6 car.

Bias tires are the only way to go on an m6 car. If you plan on any decent 60 foot at all you will need a 15 inch bias tire. Out of the two you mentioned clearly the 17 inch for the win. You will have to slip the clutch to keep from blowing the tires off.

Yeah bias ply 15's are in the future but for now I just want to work with what I got. Just trying to see which of the two would be better for TNT nights.

So would most say that my 275/45/17 BFG DR would net me the better results?

I would. Lighter wheel and more sidewall. Contact patch isn't going to help if the sidewall won't give.
