Default Anybody else run 245 Drag Radials?

I'm running the Nitto 555r's on the back on stock wheels right now. They were good on the stock converter but now that I have the stall they won't put power down before 20 mph, 25 on a cold night, on the street. This is with 2.73's. I'm thinking next summer I'm going to run the 255/60 MT radials. Anybody have these? How did you hook?

Side note, I know suspension work will help but I'm not including that for a reason ($).

I've run Nitto 245's and they were ok on the street when warm, poor when cold, and no good at the track.

The M/T 255 is a totally different animal. It's a real dragstrip tire. Great at the track and very good on the street, as long as it's dry. I would not run them in any chance of rain.

I run 275/40/17 Nittos on the street now and I've been happier with them than the skinny 245's. At the track, I only use my M/T 255's. With a good burnout and a well-prepped track, I will dead hook with them.

I have m/t 255s and could not be happier if you use them on the street they won't last you as long as the nittos but they're worth it!

Yea after the stall I can't do anything past a half throttle launch. They dead hooked at the track thigh, but that's with 2.73s.

And Manfred, it's black with tinted tails. I think I might've seen you around, do you have exhaust work done? On the phone so I can't see sigs.

Yeah it has lt's/ory and a catback on it. If you go to any meets or anything I would like to check out the car, I am considering getting the same converter.

I might've seen you a while ago, not too many red fbodies with exhaust out here. And as for car meets, do you go to the home depot meet or the Hardees meet? Both are on Jefferson.

Not often, live across the water but I'll try to make it out there sometime soon.
