Default Can I powder coat before widening stock 10 spokes?

I'm torn right now between getting some C6 Z06 reps or widening my 10 spokes. Anyways, if I keep the 10 spokes I want to get them powder coated too (not sure what color yet, go ahead and throw out suggestions, car is SOM). My question is can I get them power coated first before widening? Or would widening them mess up the powder coat? I have someone local who does good work so it would just be easy to get that out of the way first. Thats why I'm asking.

Definitely powder coat after widening. They cut then wheel all the way around, then add a section in and re-weld it together. Your new finish would be ruined.

The only thing that would get damaged is the barrels... if your doing the entire wheel face, and barrels powder coat the finished wheel.
Also make sure to not powder coat where the tire bead seals against lip..
