Default Help decide between 2 wheels

After 7 years with the same Z06 wheels I am ready for some change. I will be putting a set of red CTSV calipers and 5th Gen Camaro rotors on the front soon as well. I have looked at every wheel ever made and settled on 2 I really like. I will be buying whichever wheels in gloss black 18x9.5 with a 40mm offset. My biggest hardship in deciding is if its worth the extra money for the Forgestar wheels since they will be lighter. Here is a pic of the car right now:

Forgestar CF5 (weigh around 22-24 pounds each and cost around $1400)

Corvette Spyder (weight 26-27 pounds each and cost around $900)

I have always been a fan of the Spyders, and if I could afford to throw tires at the time I would have splurged lol

Tough choice. For my car I'm leaning towards the spyders buuut. For your car and your brake plans I think I'd go for the CF5s. Showcase your new brakes but that's just my two cents. Can't go wrong either way.

+1 on the Spyders... Although I think they'd look good in gloss white.

no thanks on the white wheels, this isnt a hotwheels car.

Seems like most people are saying the Spyders, even though the CF5's weigh 5 pounds less on each wheel.

Have you seen the Forgestar CF5V or check out MRR GT8, similar to the Spyders!

CF5's, I think they'll have a nice concave look on them and would go well with your car and the sunoco hood. They'll also show your new brakes more.

Weight difference is important. Google unsprung weight. 1pound unsprung weight is approx. 10 pounds static weight. If wheels weigh 5 pounds more each then that adds 50 pounds static weight, times four wheels equals 200 pounds extra beef you just added.
The general rule on weight increase and horsepower loss...increase 200 pounds and you lose 20 horse power. Easy decision for me on which one to get.

My current Z06 wheels are about 27Ibs each.
the Nitto Tires weigh 27Ibs each, whereas the Dunlops are 30Ibs each. SO

Current Z06 wheels + Current Nitto's - 54Ibs
Forgestars + Dunlop's - 52Ibs

a savings of 2Ibs per corner. I would say this is negligable. But with a sale coming soon from Forgestar I might just go that route. I really do like both wheels equally.
