Default 19" Tires Help. ASAP

Hey guys, Im currently running 19" c6 rims on my '01 Z, along with 1.5 inch lowering springs and some spacers as well (I think 1") My current tire is 285/35/19. Now, i found an extremely good deal on some 275/40/19. Will they fit? Im worried about the profile of 40mm..

Your current tires are 26.85", a full inch taller than stock.
The 275/40/19 is 27.66" you might be ok in the rear, but not in the front that's close to a full inch taller that you current tires, and 2" taller than stock.
You should be running either a 275/30/19(25.50"), 285/30/19(25.73"), or a 295/30/19 (25.97") depending on your wheel width, these are all within the stock height range. now if you feel you need a taller tire with more sidewall height than I wouldn't go any taller that a 275/35/19 which is 26.58" tall.

Sorry i should have mentioned my car is staggered with 18's on the front, so i'm only curious about the rear. I have new front tires already. So then i have 0.81" more with these tires, i'll have to check to make sure i have that much room.

So what's the width on the rear wheels, and what size tire are you running up front?

2 inches over stock is a lot of height difference I doubt it will work.

A 305/30/19(26.2") would be an option then, and have sidewall height within 1/10" of a 235/40/18, and a overall front to rear height difference of .8".

Yeah, I didn't want to recommend you a rear tire that has a noticeably shorter side wall, since it wouldn't look right.
