Default what tires for 17" runners

bought some racestar wheels for my c5. i got the 17x4.5, what tires are avaliable for them? all i have seen so far in a radial is the hoosier and the m&h. they must know that they have a captured audience because the price really reflects it. 200 a pop is pricey to me. i know you have to pay to play but are ther any cheaper options? must fit 17x4.5 and needs to be about 26" tall, and must be a radial.

Mt has that front runner thst has that flame pattern on it. Just about ever guy here runs that tire on the 17x4.5 I believe.

M&H has both radial and bias ply tire in a 17" x26" .

I run the radial now, but had the bias ply before. Both seem pretty good.

I just saw that yesterday. But they look backordered on jegs and summits website. I think im going to just order the hoosiers and see how they work. I am not a huge fan of m&h tread pattern.

What kind of mileage did you see out of the radials? Its not my daily driver but it will see some street miles.

Honestly I have no idea. They go on for the drive to the strip and home again. I have 4 sets of rims and tires.

Sorry, of no help on that part.

I ran the M&H radials on my Vette and put a lot of street miles on them. They still looked brand new when I sold them. I would highly recommend them. I'm buying a set for my 3rd gen when it's done.
